Define 'worth'. The last HP computer that I had got a 'clean' install of the OS and the 'Recovery'
system became coasters and such, but that was just me. To do the aforementioned, one needs to have
all the device drivers in hand before starting and a full version of the OS also. I might add that
it considerably sped up the system, but you may be able to achieve the same result by just removing
the offending 'bloat-ware' from your system. Be careful to note the function of the 'bloat-ware'
before removing it as, I wouldn't put it past HP to make the OS dependent on it for operation. You
could try deleting one at a time, then restart to see if there is any undesirable result, could be
time-consuming, but well worth it in the end...luck...

MusicMatch is fine. I even paid to upgrade it. My music library is up to
7500 mp3 tracks.

You probably got a set of powerful ArcSoft photo applications. I installed
MGI Photosuite and found out I didn't get anything I didn't already have in
the ArcSoft bundle.

Does your HP have some Wild Tangent 3-D games? Those are fine if you like
games.

The CD burner software is basic, but if I upgraded all I would add would be
VCD burning so I use the installed bundle.

This computer has Me which Microsoft didn't give FAX power, but HP bundled
QuickLink for faxing.

Try Weatherbug which HP probably installed for you. I run it several times
a day.

I bet you got Microsoft Works and Money. I'm not the biggest Microsoft fan
but I use Works for databases and my checkbook is in Money.

Some of the HP stuff is expendable for sure.
I deleted Trellix immediately. I did the McAfee Online for the three-month
trial then switched to store-bought McAfee.

Our new HP with XP came with a half dozen children's programs I uninstalled,
I admit.
