Need info about HP's upgrade for MediaCenter PC's!

Hi,



I was hoping to upgrade to Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005!
Anyone knows where I can get an upgrade CD for my m380n? I was deployed in
Iraq and I missed the upgrade offered by HP! I talked to them on the phone
today and the fuckers refused to honor the upgrade. I am not mad cause I
know it is just business and has nothing to do with fighting a war or
patriotisms but I'd hoped that they would take that into consideration!



It's just fucked up because I can't even buy it! If anyone can help or
offer any suggestion please do! I will even buy it if you have it and
willing to make me a copy! Thanks again and God Bless!

Did you talk to the sales people or the support people. IF you try sales ask
to speak to a spvr. and try to explain your concern.
IMO they are better in sales than support.

I took your advice and called sales! I just got off the phone with them and
it is like talking to a wall, no consideration whatsoever! The sad thing is
that I've been a loyal customer of HP for over 10 years! That is beside the
fact that I was overseas fighting a war so that these fuckers can stay in
business and make all this money!

Yea, well I have owned a HP pc only for 4 mos. and found them to be moron's.
FWIW you might try, as a last resort, writting to the CEO as well as the PC
Mags. I find a lot of times the mags. *bad press* works. Your comment of
being at war uneffecting them doesn't really surprise me.
As I said most of HP's tels. go to India. Oh well. Maybe you'll find what
you need someplace. Maybe Ebay? Or maybe do a Google search?
