My HP zd8000 laptop has a door on the right side that is labeled "HP USB
Digital Drive"

I have looked everywhere and I am unable to find information a drive that
fits this slot. Can anyone offer any insight?

Thanks in advance

It could just be a std. USB port w/a fancy HP name. They do sell an external
HD, called a Personal Media Drive.
It too conncects via USB. Don't know if that helps.

What does it look like? If it is about 2.5 inches by 3/4 inch with one
side rounded and the other square, it is likely there "Pocket Media Drive"
It is just a USB drive packaged to fit that port. The drive will also work
with standard USB or USB2 connections on other computers.

Just an SD card reader:

USB 1.0, so it'll be slow. I'd use a regular USB flash drive, personally.
