Hello
I use Omniback II 3.5 version, and i have a problem with database, my
filenames in database is 96% big, and a i don't know how to make filenames
less, the file with filenames is not to big it is obout 75 MB big, but the
problem is with number of records. So how to change number of filenames or
how to delete some records to make a database usage less. I'm asking because
i don't what will hapened when the filenames will increase to 100% Usage

Thank's for halp

As you have not yet gotten any responses, I will post from my old
notes:

First do a "omnidbutil -info" and note the number of "File versions",
"File names"," Records used/" and "Records total" and the "Diskspace
usage (bytes)".

In all datalists, set the "Detail Catalog Retention" to the desired
period. This is how long the (file names and) file versions are kept in
the database ("Detail Catalog"). Also set the Advanced option "display
statistical information". This will cause the session report to report
how may files and directories were backed up, so you know how much your
Detail Catalog will grow by that backup.

Now when the next run of the psm (purge session monitor) occurs,
normally at 12:00 noon, it should purge all old (i.e. longer than
"Detail Catalog Retention") file versions (and file names). See the
purge.log file (in /var/opt/omni/log) on how psm progresses and how many
file versions it purged.

When psm is finished, run "omnidbutil -info" and again and note the
difference in the number of "File versions", "File names"," Records
used/" and "Records total" and the "Diskspace usage (bytes)".

I hope this helps.
