HP OfficeJet COM Device Objects

I keep getting an error that says: "HP OfficeJet COM Device Objects has encountered a problem and needs to close." Then it goes on to ask if I want to send a report to Microsoft. Usually, after that, the system freezes. I have an HP Pavilion 06, using XP. Does anyone have a clue to what is causing this? Could my machine be infected with a worm?

I have also been getting this error message and behaviour, although in my
case it seems to have started when I added the HP JetPrint print server to
my environment. Once I get the message I can no longer use my OfficeJet
G95 printer. Has anybody got a solution to this for me? --- Thanks.
